The Battle
Especially with elections coming up in November, it is essential that we as Christians get involved and take a stand to preserve this Nation for the future generations. Just think of what the founders of this country gave up: their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. What are we willing to sacrifice to help ensure that America keeps standing on the same foundation she was built upon? I was shocked to discover that many young people my age are not even registered to vote, claiming that "my vote won't make any difference!" But I ask you, what if everyone who thought that actually got out to the polls and voted, how might that sway our elections?
One great aspect of America is that we as citizens have the freedom to let our voices be heard. We have the freedom of speech, such as I am using in creating this website. We have the right (and responsibility, I might add) to cast our vote for who we think is best for the job. But with freedom comes responsibility.
Our job as citizens is to exercise the rights we have been given. Rights and freedoms that come from God, were fought for by our Founding Fathers, and are preserved by our Constitution. We need to speak out against certain issues that America is facing in our day and age. Let our voice be heard from our local courthouse to the White House, and do our part to live out 2 Chronicles 7:14.
If my people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways
Then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.
